Part 2: A Search for Stars

 Some nights were hard.

She almost lost heart,

When the stars went out,

And the road got dark.

She met some others,

On the road.

Searchers just like her,

Who shared the load.

And sometimes,

She had to walk alone.

To think the thoughts,

She had to own.

Along the way,

She founds some guides;

Things and experiences

That opened her eyes.

One day she noticed,

She had forgotten,

What she sought to find.

That thing she once

So desperately needed,

Had moved to the back of her mind.

She came upon a bridge,

That looked too old to cross.

It showed it stood the test of time,

But now it felt the loss.

She sat down and began to cry,

The fear came seeping in.

She became quite afraid,

Her journey was at an end.

But a brave soul walked before her,

Carefully step-by-step.

A few times they stumbled,

And stopped to take a breath.

But never did they turn around,

Give up or look away.

From that far-off horizon,

Seeking break of day.

And so, she took a step on faith,

And with each step, followed through.

She slowly made her way toward

A destination true.
